Bidston Hill Country Park

The Hill offers a wide variety of leisure walks in a safe and relaxing environment. These walks are shown on the site map. The famous Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm is a great day out for Kids!

The park is teeming with wild life (birds, bats butterflies and beetles and bugs!) and a wide variety of plants including a nationally important collection of historically significant rhododendrons and many spectacular trees.

The Bidston Hill Country Park is steeped in history dating back many hundreds of years. Around every corner is another anecdote or folk story!

There are significant stone carvings, an ancient “cock-pit” and of course the famous Windmill and Observatory buildings. Untill recently the latter housed the world famous Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory
